We need your help…

Sometimes we need your help and you may be able to help us with this one.

We are looking for someone to Chair Engaging Communities Staffordshire, which is a brand new independent organisation for the county to handle all public feedback on health and social care services.  It’s a great opportunity to be part of something totally groundbreaking which will improve outcomes for people in Staffordshire.

You may already be aware of this but in less than two months Engaging Communities Staffordshire will be launched.  This is a new and innovative people lead organisation which will pull together and co-ordinate public feedback on the quality of health and care services across Staffordshire.

Over 2,300 people took part in the recent public consultation on the initiative with 9 out of every 10 respondents giving the thumbs up to the idea of creating an independent organisation to support people accessing health and social care services.

Now we want to turn this proposal into a reality and are looking for an exceptional person to chair the organisation.  Does this sound like you?  Or someone you know?  Help us spread the word…

We are looking for someone with a strong ethos of Public Service who will oversee the recruitment of a voluntary Board as well as supporting the work required to formally establish the new social enterprise for a launch in April.  The right person will be instrumental in shaping the organisation; including appointing the first Chief Executive and will need to bring a range of board level skills and experience including facilitation, business acumen, performance management, relationship building and change management.

Anyone interested in applying for this high profile position can find out more about the independent appointment process at www.engagingcommunitiesstaffordshire.co.uk or call Kate Waterhouse, Head of Customer Insight on 01785 277893 for an informal discussion about the role.  Other non-executive roles will also be available in due course.  Findings from the consultation are also available on the website.

Please help us to find the right person to make Engaging Communities Staffordshire a success.
