Moving in!

Monday, October 17th, 2011

I’m delighted to say that the first teams have moved into Staffordshire Place this week.  This comes after months of planning and hard work by the project team and a whole host of colleagues across the organisation.  The feedback from the first day was very positive, with induction running smoothly and teams very enthusiastic about the facilities and the working environment.

We will continue to move in over the next few weeks, so please bear with colleagues while they pack and have their induction.  And if you are planning to move in, get ready and get excited!

I also wanted to remind everyone that we are taking entries for the 2012 volunteer awards.  If you know a fantastic fundraiser or first–aider, a shining Scout leader or sports referee, or an outstanding business or organisation that knows how important volunteers are, nominate them now for an award.  They could be invited to the Volunteer Staffordshire Award Gala Celebration Evening in March 2012 at the Alton Towers Resort.

Everyone that nominates a volunteer will be automatically entered into a draw to win two free tickets to the Celebration Evening which includes a five course meal and entertainment, as well as the presentation of the awards to the winners.

Volunteers make such a difference to their communities and I would really encourage you to get involved and nominate someone you know.
